Your Benefits Briefing

Four questions. Then a weekly briefing on what matters in benefits that runs itself, without touching anything confidential.

1

Who is this for?

One sentence about your job. No company name needed. The AI uses it to decide what matters to you.

2

Where do you get your benefits news?

Tick the ones you read. Add others below by name or web address.

Email newsletters can't be read by the AI, but the outlet's website usually can. Name the outlet and the page will use its site.

3

What matters most right now?

Tick a few. Add your own below. The briefing leans toward these without ignoring everything else.

4

How do you want it?

Every at

Your prompt

This updates as you answer. The highlighted first line is what turns it into a weekly task.

Run it once now (do this first)
  1. Click the orange button. The prompt is copied, without the schedule line.
  2. Open ChatGPT (or Claude). Start a new chat. Paste. Send.
  3. In a minute or two, you'll have this week's three. Read them. Does it feel right? Come back and adjust questions 1 to 3 if not.
Make it weekly in ChatGPT or Claude (needs a paid plan)
  1. Click "Copy: make it weekly." This version starts with the schedule line.
  2. Open ChatGPT or Claude. Start a new chat. Paste. Send.
  3. It replies offering to create a scheduled task. Confirm it.
  4. That's it. It runs every week and notifies you. Find or edit your tasks later: in ChatGPT under your profile menu, in Tasks (Plus plans allow five); in Claude, in the scheduled tasks area of the app.

If it answers the prompt instead of offering a task, reply: "Please make this a scheduled task that runs every Monday at 7am."

What a result looks like
Subject: Benefits this week: family premiums up 10%

1. Workers are paying nearly 10% more for family coverage. KFF's annual survey puts the average family premium past $27,000, with the employee share rising faster than wages. For us: expect this to come up in the 2027 budget conversation; worth having our own number ready. KFF Health News

2. Employers are pulling back on GLP-1 coverage. Several large employers are replacing full coverage with self-pay programs and coaching. For us: if we cover them, members will ask whether we're next. Employee Benefit News

3. House Oversight is probing PBM audit practices. Letters went to the three largest PBMs about independent pharmacy audits. For us: a question for our PBM at the next review. Fierce Healthcare

Same pattern, other jobs. Swap the outlets and subjects and this becomes: a weekly read on what competitors are doing with benefits, a conference-prep brief, a monthly roundup of state leave-law changes. Nothing confidential ever goes in.
